# Vanity Roles

> Reward members who put your server's tag in their custom status.

When a member's custom status contains the trigger text, Luster gives them a vanity role. When they remove it, the role comes off. Members are checked continuously while their presence is online.

| Command                                 | Description                                                                                  |
| --------------------------------------- | -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| `,vanity`                               | Opens the vanity menu.                                                                       |
| `,vanity status <text>`                 | Sets the trigger that must appear in a status. Run without text to view the current trigger. |
| `,vanity enable` / `,vanity disable`    | Turns the system on or off.                                                                  |
| `,vanity role <role>`                   | Sets (or unsets) the role to grant.                                                          |
| `,vanity sync`                          | Re-checks every member immediately.                                                          |
| `,vanity messages <#channel> <message>` | Sends a configurable message whenever someone earns the role.                                |
| `,vanity test`                          | Sends a test message.                                                                        |

## Status punishments

Keep banned phrases out of statuses. Anyone whose status matches gets timed out for 1 hour.

| `,statuspunishment`               | Lists punishable words and shows usage. |
| `,statuspunishment delete <word>` | Removes a punishable word.              |
| `,statuspunishment reset`         | Clears the list.                        |
